7.00 (above average) | I enjoyed the series, but after becoming reemployed, found it hard to grab the first season at a reasonable price. As such, I only have the second. I'm on the lookout for a chance to rectify this imbalance.

6.50 (above average) | Got both series recently at a good price, but had seen for some time before. As with most of this generation of harem titles, I really wish they'd get to the ending (I couldn't care less about the more modern ones, for several reasons).

7.50 (good) | Conclusive proof that AMVs can make companies money, I'd have probably never touched this if not for one I saw at Otakon. Instead, I own it. And the manga too.

9.75 (excellent) | Easily one of my top 5 favorite series of all time, and have all 4 DVD box sets. I also have several of the little nicknacks that came with preordering box sets.

8.00 (good) | One of the best mecha series out there if you ask me. I've seen, but don't own, most of the spinoffs and sequel OVAs, but none are available in the US, so I'm calling it complete.

5.75 (average) | Purchased on a whim. I remember the lyrics to the opening theme more than the actual series.

6.25 (average) | One of my earlier VHS acquisitions was 2 dubbed volumes of this. I eventually got it all on DVD, but note it as being nowhere near as good as I remember. However, it was at least still rather entertaining for what it was. The OVA, however, I did not like.

7.75 (good) | One of the few titles where I have both the TV series and manga in their entirety. Of course, that's not saying all that much considering how short the manga is. I honestly wish this could have gotten a continuation, as there's so much more to be told.

8.50 (very good) | A timeless classic based on on excellent piece of classical literature - basically a Japanese Romeo & Juliet. My only real gripes are that some of the better supporting cast were woefully underutilized and/or developed, and a few key things were not satisfactorily explained. One of the few I have on blu-ray rather than "mere" DVD.

7.00 (above average) | Have more for nostalgia's sake than anything else, but have seen every episode, movie, and special. Missing the fifth series due to lack of US release, and do not own any of the movies. I have no real drive to complete the collection at the moment, but may if something pops up at a good price.

6.25 (average) | It started off really good, but the rushed ending really hurt. Thankfully, the manga filled some holes. The fact that this got the shaft while To-LOVe-Ru keeps getting more seasons saddens me.

6.75 (above average) | Ahh, the days when mere panty shots were considered risque. The series itself may be only so-so, but has excellent mythological tie-ins. And those Omakes are often just priceless. When I say complete, I do mean I have the OVA too.

6.00 (average) | Bought from a rental store's clearance bin on a whim. Really, the only thing I remember that well is the WTF opening. Seriously, you'd think it was a hentai or something . . .

Own both on VHS and DVD, including the Hurricane Live music videos. For the longest time, this was one of my favorite
series, and remains so due to nostalgia. I also still have the 1993 issue of TurboForce magazine that I heard about it
from, and it was my search for this title specifically that introduced me to TRSI. I also have the Tokyo 2040 TV series, and AD Police Files, AND even Bubblegum Crash, just because I'm a completist.

6.75 (above average) | I only have the original OVA and Nuku Nuku Dash on DVD. I always felt the other TV series was a bit below par, and had trouble watching more than one episode at a time. Obviously, it's not high on my list of series to acquire. Since they're not differentiated, the rating includes all three, and is dragged down a bit by the Nuku Nuku TV series. I'd rate the OVA highest, as a solid 8. Dash was more serious, but about in the 7.25 range. 5.75 for the Nuku Nuku TV series. Average rating of the three, factoring in episode counts, is about 6.75.

7.75 (good) | While often more than a bit formulaic and repetitive, I can't help liking this for its goofy characters. Got the entire TV series on clearance only to see some volumes skyrocket in value over the last several years, making this one of the prides of my collection. Own every OVA/movie/special that got a US release, leaving Death of the Vicious Criminal Ryo Saeba as the only related title I don't have.

8.00 (good) | A classic that I never got around to fully collecting, maybe because the dub is actually good and it kept showing up on Cartoon Network. I only have the first volume, but may eventually complete it.

6.00 (average) | I own this on both VHS and DVD in its entirely. I actually got it after seeing a preview for episode 6 on another release, and like what I saw (as well as the song). However, the series kind of see-sawed between good and bad episodes, and the first one especially went a little further than I'd have liked.

6.75 (above average) | I like the story, though it got a bit, um, weird, near the end. I think the original Maoh Dante handled the theme better.

6.25 (average) | I bought this initially due to the nice artwork on some of the DVD covers. False advertising: many of those are never seen in the actual series. It was still decent, but I hate false advertising. The completest in me wouldn't let it go unfinished though.

8.00 (good) | One of my favorite parodies, and one of the few that I can attribute wholly to recommendations from friends.

6.50 (above average) | It's not common for me to completely follow a series this long, but it somehow managed to just barely keep my interest. I've got one box set, and am looking to get the others at a good price.

8.00 (good) | While the ending was rather abrupt, I really like the direction it went there. I haven't seen much of this subgenre, but this series makes me interested in checking out the others, most of which never got a US release.

6.25 (average) | Standard shounen fight series is standard. Liked it a bit more than Yuu Yuu Hakusho, but hated the fact that it was never truly finished. Oh well, there's always the manga.

7.25 (above average) | I'd love to see another season, as I know there's more material, and so much has yet to be properly addressed. Still, one of the best supernatural/horror titles I've seen.

8.00 (good) |
I have the Manga, the PSX video game, both seasons of SAC, and Solid State Society. For some reason, I never got around
to the other movies, and do not have the Laughing Man or Individual Eleven OVAs. Perhaps that'll change at some
point. As an aside, the Ghost in the Shell 2.0 version was not worthwhile - most of what they changed was for the worse.

6.50 (above average) | Standard show is standard, though with a few decent twists. I still don't get the sword thing though - it feels out of place and just randomly inserted because they thought it looked cool to pull one out of thin air.

7.75 (good) | One of my favorite martial arts anime titles, and one of the few long-running shounen manga I follow. There's plenty of material, so someone needs to make a new series and take my money.

6.50 (above average) | Not a huge fan of the artwork, but I can't argue against the story. My only gripe is that I actually didn't care for the last volume all that much. I liked the pseudo ending better, and would have been fine leaving it there.

6.25 (average) | More than anything else, I must point out that this is about the only bilingual anime DVD I know of that defaults to subbed! That gets it a slight ratings buff by itself.

8.50 (very good) | The first series was brilliantly entertaining and one of the most fun I've ever had watching a space opera (well, a parody of one). The OVA series, however, ended up raising more questions than it answered, and I hate cliffhanger endings. Still, all around great title.

Being a fan of Type-Moon VNs, and hearing that, for once, they were actually doing a good adaptation, I was following these as they came out in Japan, and jumped on the US release, which is
the most I've paid per disc in a long time. It was worth it. Incidentally, there was an error in one of the discs
as originally printed, and I got a free replacement sent before I'd even caught it myself. Talk about service! I wonder if the one with the error will become collectible . . .

6.00 (average) | It's a great, classic story, but the animation here is crap, and really, really drags it down.
Seen: completely; Own: completely; Last Updated: Sep 09, 2013 |
8.25 (good) | I really like how they pulled this one off by lulling the viewer into a false sense just before flooring the accelerator. Also, the artwork and animation is hard to deny, and I like the universe they built around it. Still, a slow start and some issues toward the end drag it down a bit.

9.25 (very good) | Up there as one of the better Ghibli releases. I think it tapered off a bit towards the end though.

6.00 (average) | Decent for what it was, but nothing special other than what happens midway through. I won't spoil it, even if it's fairly obvious.

7.50 (good) | I didn't hate this as much as many others seem to. Maybe it's because I'd already seen Noir and knew what was coming. Most notably, however, this has one of my favorite OSTs. I also tend to like nonlinear storytelling in general, and liked how the separate, but converging, stories were handled.

6.75 (above average) | Except for a few unusual aspects, this never really had that much impact on me. I did like several of the peripheral characters though, especially those from the second season.

6.75 (above average) | A fun fantasy parody that almost went under my radar. If I hadn't randomly grabbed some fansubs of it, I'd have probably passed it by completely.

8.50 (very good) | I went into this with limited expectations and was very pleasantly surprised at how good it was. Honestly, I consider it one of the best shows of its type out there, and I somehow managed to grab the box set for $20 relatively early on, but didn't get a copy of the A's box set before it shot up in price. I doubt I'll ever see it at a price I'm willing to pay, but stranger things have happened.

7.25 (above average) | I really like the artwork here, along with the OST, and there's a decent story to boot. Still, I wish some of the manga-only characters had made an appearance. |
